Leading Independent Nutritionist, Paula Mee, to address Wexford Health & Wellbeing Evening

RTE TV personality and leading independent nutritionist Paula Mee, will be in Wexford on Thursday 14th May to address the Health and Wellbeing evening being jointly organised by Wexford Creamery and the National Dairy Council.

The event, which takes place in The Ferrycarrig Hotel, Wexford (doors open 7.30pm, 8.00pm start) will raise funds for the charity Wexford Branch Hospice Home Care. It also includes presentations on Osteoporosis Prevention by Michele O’Brien from the Irish Osteoporosis Society; and a demonstration from Sam McCauley’s.

In a presentation entitled “Celebrating the Nutrient Richness of Dairy”, Paula Mee will draw on the latest medical and research findings to explore in detail the full package of nutrients in milk. She intends to do this in a way which she hopes will help the audience to understand in an informed way how and why milk and dairy work within a balanced diet.

“Many of us have grown up generally accepting that milk is important for bone health and dental health,” says Paula Mee. “I want to examine those traditional benefits of dairy in the context of more recent research and also look at emerging findings about milk and milk products in relation to blood pressure and as a sports hydration drink.”
