Meeting the Experts at the Ploughing

The National Dairy Council will be bringing their nutritionists headed up by Dr. Catherine Logan (pictured) to the 80th National Ploughing Championships in Cardenton, Athy, Co. Kildare.

Don’t miss the NDC stand if you play sports at school or college, if you are getting fit in the gym or if you are training for competitive sport at any level.

The National Dairy Council expects to have a well-known athlete on its stand, each day* to answer questions about their training routines and diet. NDC nutritionists will also be there to explain how milk can play an important role as a re-hydration drink in sports, as supported by scientific research. You can even test your skills at the NDC Bastketball Court with daily prizes for top scorers.

The NDC interactive ‘Photo Booth’ returns by popular demand, where you can enter a free competition for the best “Cheesy Smile” with a chance to win a Digital Camera each day of the Ploughing. The NDC Butter Queen will give you a taste of the delicious flavour of cooking with Irish butter, with her shortbread biscuits.

Of course, if you have general questions about the role of milk and dairy as part your family’s diet or the health benefits associated with milk, then don’t miss the NDC stand, where you can talk with the experts.
