The organisers of a health and wellbeing evening to take place at Inchydoney Lodge on Wednesday 6th April are delighted with the huge level of interest in the event from the West Cork community.
“Tickets for the evening have been entirely sold out at this stage,” says Dr. Catherine Logan, Nutrition Manager at the National Dairy Council. “However tickets are still in demand, so if you have tickets and your plans change or if you are no longer able to attend, please do make contact with the organising team as we may be able to help to exchange your tickets so that they are not wasted.” (telephone Carbery Group on 023-882 2210 or Clóna Dairy Products on 023-883 3324).
"The interest in the event has been tremendous and we appreciate that some people may have been disappointed that they did not manage to get a ticket. However, given the level of support we hope that it might be possible to look at organising similar events in the future."
All of the proceeds from the €5 admission tickets and raffles on the night will go to the COPE Foundation, which provides a range of services to 1,700 children and adults with an intellectual disability at over 60 locations throughout Co. Cork.
Sheila Jennings from COPE paid tribute to the National Dairy Council, Carbery Group, Clóna Dairy Products & the West Cork Co-ops for their support to the charity. “Those who attend on 6th April will also have the opportunity to support the raffle for COPE, with terrific prizes including a rugby ball and jersey signed by Paul O’Connell from the National Dairy Council, an Inchydoney Pure Treats Package and 4 hampers with produce from Carbery and Clóna with co-op store vouchers.”
At the Health & Wellbeing evening in Inchydoney on 6th April, Confidence-Building Coach Fiona Hoban will be discussing “A Positive Approach to Wellbeing” whilst Paula Mee, one of Ireland’s leading independent dietitians, a TV personality and media commentator on nutrition and health will give a presentation on ‘Dairy Throughout the Life-Stages’. RTÉ Six-One News anchor and award winning journalist Sharon Ní Bheoláin will be master of ceremonies for the evening.
