NDC Confirms Recruitment Process has Started for New CEO
The National Dairy Council has confirmed that a recruitment process is commencing immediately to identify and appoint a new Chief Executive, following the announcement by current Chief Executive, Helen Brophy, that she will be moving to a new role in April 2011.
The NDC Board is expected to start public advertising for its new Chief Executive within the next week. Helen Brophy will remain with the National Dairy Council as Chief Executive during that process and until the start of April.
NDC Chairman Dominic Cronin paid tribute to Helen Brophy, who was appointed CEO of the National Dairy Council in September 2007.
“Over the past 3 ½ years Helen has made a very positive contribution to the strategic direction of the NDC and has successfully repositioned the organisation to play a key role in strengthening and protecting the image of the Irish dairy sector,” said Dominic Cronin. “Whilst we are sorry to see her leave the NDC, we understand completely that she has been offered a new set of challenges which provide a next step for her own professional career development. We wish Helen every success and happiness in her new role.”
