- Add a Little Flavour to Your Life -

Chef Mark Doe, of 'Just Cooking' School, Firies.

Mark Doe from 'Just Cooking' School, Firies, will be demonstrating his creative culinary skills - and might even give some tips on how to be a “Domestic God or Goddess” - as part of a Health & Wellbeing evening in Tralee on Thursday 6th October, 2011.

The event, organised by The National Dairy Council and Lee Strand Milk, will take place in Ballyroe Heights Hotel and is intended to offer an entertaining evening which also gives up to date and science-based information from specialists about your health, wellbeing and diet. Doors open at 7.30pm and proceeds from the €5 ticket/admission charge and raffle on the night donated to Kerry Cancer Support Group.

Deirdre Walsh from Radio Kerry will be master of ceremonies for the evening. One of the specialists speaking will be Paula Mee, a leading Irish independent dietitian, TV personality and media commentator on nutrition and health. Paula was a presenter of RTÉ TV’s Health Squad programme which ran for five years until 2006 and she makes regular appearances on TV and radio programmes advising on nutrition and health issues.

Specialist Fiona Hoban, a popular Confidence-Building Coach, is well known for engaging her audience with a presentation which has a track record for being very enjoyable. The evening will also include a cookery demonstration.

Mark Doe’s school of teaching cooking is renowned for ‘adding a little flavour’ to the life of participants, putting the fun back into cooking with practical steps. Mark has spent over 20 years working in some of Europe's finest Hotels and Restaurants. These include The Ritz Hotel & The Four Seasons Hotel in London, The Merrion Hotel, Dublin, The Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links, Dublin and The Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise liner. Mark also spent two years working in Australia and worked in one of the top Restaurants in Melbourne, Lynch's Restaurant. Mark has won many awards for his Cooking, including the overall winner of the Moreau Chablis Fish Dish of the Year Award 2004.

This is set to be an enjoyable and thought provoking evening. To avoid disappointment, you can book your ticket in advance by contacting either Lee Strand Milk (Tel: 066-7121084) or Kerry Cancer Support Group (Tel: 066-7195560). Doors open at 7.30pm.
