Over 480 Attend Health & Wellbeing Event

Over 480 people attended the Connacht Gold & NDC Health & Wellbeing evening at Sligo’s Clarion Hotel on 27th November 2008, to hear experts Paula Mee, Fiona Hoban and Fidelma Kelly proffer their guidance on how we can all improve our personal nutrition, emotional wellbeing and feel and look great coming into the Christmas season.

RTE TV personality and one of the country’s leading independent nutritionists Paula Mee will be in Sligo on Thursday (27th November) to address the Health and Wellbeing evening being jointly organised by Connacht Gold and the National Dairy Council in Sligo’s Clarion Hotel (7.30pm).

The NDC & Connacht Gold Health & Wellbeing evening takes place on Thursday 27th November in the Clarion Hotel, Clarion Road, Sligo with doors opening at 7.30pm. The evening will include discussions by independent nutritionist Paula Mee, a presentation on improving your wellbeing by counsellor & training consultant Fiona Hoban and skincare demonstrations for women – and men – by Fidelma Kelly from Clarins.

Guide to Osteoporosis for World Osteoporosis Day

To mark World Osteoporosis Day Professor Moira O’Brien, President of the Irish Osteoporosis Society launched a new “Guide to Osteoporosis” booklet which was produced in partnership with the National Dairy Council. The information leaflet is designed to inform, guide and educate women and men of all ages, and children about osteoporosis and to help them adopt a ‘bone-friendly’ lifestyle.

Trapattoni, Tánaiste & Minister for Education Give Support To NDC Pilot School Milk Programme

The National Dairy Council has just completed the roll-out of a pilot programme to test a new approach to promoting the School Milk Scheme.  The pilot programmes were launched in Counties Dublin, Monaghan, Donegal, Sligo and Limerick.
