NDC Trade Mark 'Farmed in the Republic of Ireland’- Foodservice Outlets can now be Certified

Foodservice outlets in the Republic of Ireland, ranging from cafes, restaurants, hotels or pubs to staff canteens and Government Departments, now have the opportunity to demonstrate to their customers if they sell only NDC licensed milk and cream by displaying the NDC Certificate of origin.

World School Milk Day: NDC calls for more engagement with School Milk Scheme

1st June 2010 is the 10th annual World Milk Day. In Ireland, the National Dairy Council is calling on more schools and parents to engage with the School Milk and Dairy Programme to assist children achieve their recommended intake of milk and dairy.

Milk in Action Campaign Contract Awarded

Following a rigorous tender process, the advertising and creative contracts have been awarded and signed for the new three year ‘Milk in Action’ campaign. 50% of the Milk in Action campaign cost is supported through EU co-financing; the industry is funding 30% of costs, raised through NDC members in the Republic of Ireland.  The remaining 20% of funding is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food.

NEW NDC “MILK IN ACTION” CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE CONSUMPTION OF
MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS (CHEESE & YOGURT)

A new three year campaign to promote the nutritional benefits and consumption of dairy and to be co-ordinated by the National Dairy Council (NDC), has been approved for EU co-funding. A prerequisite to the EU co-financing was that the industry in the Republic of Ireland, through NDC members, will fund 30% of the campaign costs. A further 20% of funding is coming from the Member State and 50% from the EU.
