Butter
Long considered the essential condiment of the Irish table, butter is natural and delicious
Butter is usually made by churning fresh cream, with salt sometimes added for flavour. The colour of butter depends on the cow’s diet and the distinctive yellow colour of fresh Irish butter is due to the carotene found in grass.
Incomparable
In spite of the many attempts to imitate it, nothing compares to the flavour and taste of quality Irish butter. Serve on fresh bread, warm toast, or melt a knob over a serving of mixed vegetables! This delicious and versatile food ingredient also adds its own unique taste in cooking or baking.
