Board structure

The Board of the NDC is designed to reflect the interests of our funders by including representative associations as well as members from our contributing co-ops. The Board traditionally meets on a quarterly basis and holds its AGM in June of each year. The representative associations include: IFA, ICMSA, ICOS and the National Milk Agency.

The representation from the co-ops is determined by the amount of levy paid by the co-op as a proportion of the total levy received. Entitlement to a seat on the Board is dependent on contributing a minimum of 5% of the total levy. For the remaining seats, the country is divided into three regions with elections held every four years to determine the allocation of these seats on the Board.
